Andy’s Frozen Custard is a great family-friendly spot in Athens. We visited on the Fourth of July and were surprised that it wasn’t busy. Service was quick and friendly, and the famous frozen custard did not disappoint. The open-air setup is nice on a summer evening, though the ordering area isn’t air-conditioned and can feel a bit stuffy with limited airflow. Overall, a clean location, great custard, and excellent service. Highly recommended.

How this place isn’t more busy all the time, I shall never know. Every sweet treat I’ve tried there, has been so deliciously sugary sweet, it's amazing. Employees have always been kind and patient to us.

Love it here. Delicious ice cream to get. Idk if I'm old fashioned though we ordered a Sunday and we got just chocolate concrete which is weeird.

Updated 4/25/26 Went this evening and they do not have much as far as fruit options. I only saw Banana, Cherry, Strawberry, Pineapple Raspberry. With it being spring, I was hoping for more options... Lemons, lime or mangos, which are in season. First time at Andy's and I was so excited to try the Peach & Key Lime.... And we were not disappointed. The custard is so fresh and delicious and with the pieces of fruit and cheesecake was the cherry on top. But let me tell you about their brownie sundae, the brownie was hot, with hot fudge, vanilla custard and I requested crushed nuts.... Omg!!! It was DELISH!!! I can't wait to go back and try more flavors.
